The RAG paradox: everyone needs one, nobody should build one
Standardise RAG and long-term memory instead of rewriting from scratch. Cognee looks more finished than RAG-Anything for industrialisation — vectors, knowledge graph, MCP, multimodal, S3.
I posted about RAG-Anything last week. A solid option to standardise RAG.
Except. A colleague I work with on an enterprise RAG foundation shows me Cognee.
Same logic: generic infrastructure for a common need. Standardise RAG and long-term memory for your agents.
What Cognee brings
Vectors + knowledge graph:
- Retrieve relevant chunks
- Connect relations across the corpus
- MCP compatible. Native multimodal.
- S3 compatible
Of course the promise is not to solve every problem with one product. Pareto applies: better to focus on the 20% that need specialisation and your expertise, and let the majority happen without effort.
Cognee looks like a more finished product than RAG-Anything for industrialisation.
Are you rewriting your RAG stacks from scratch, or are you looking at more standard building blocks?
